Lyrics

Verse 1:
Early Sunday morning just before the dawn
One of God's choicest servants is puttin' his shoes on
For He's got a place to be; He does it faithfully
He takes what God gave him and does his best
Well he talks a little funny and has a friendly smile
He may not think like you and me; he has the heart of a child
Other members have come and gone
but Brother Titus still goes on
He's been goin' on for over fifty years; He’d say.......
Chorus 1:
Good mornin’ glad to see ya; This is the day the Lord has made
In the rain or the cold; He’ll be walkin’ down the road
To greet his church friends and family; Lord help me be as faithful for Thee
Bridge:
Though miles and miles he traveled on his journey
Many hardships Brother Titus overcame
Lord help me learn a lesson on faithfulness
Cause through it all I never heard him once complain
Verse 3:
One day He’ll trade his old suit for a robe of white
No more walkin’ dusty roads in that city bright
With a mind that’s now clear; I think Titus may hear
As the Lord greets another servant home , He’ll say........
Chorus 2:
Good morning glad to see you; This is the day that I have made
You served me while on earth; At the old First Baptist Church
I know you want to look around but could you wait
We could use another greeter at the gate
Chorus 3:
Good mornin’ glad to see ya; This is the day the Lord has made
No more walkin’ dusty roads; He’ll be walkin’ streets of gold
To greet his church friends and family; Lord help me as faithful for Thee
